Putting recovery into practice
Our paper,
Making Recovery a Reality, is the first part of our year-long project to
develop guidance for NHS Trusts and other provider organizations on what they
can do to implement recovery-orientated practice.
We are running workshops in five English NHS Trusts to refine the ideas
presented in the policy paper, focusing on individual practice, training,
service structure and delivery, and organizational culture. The workshops will
use the experience of local mental health workers, managers, service users,
commissioners, carers and the independent sector to produce guidance that may
put recovery principles into practice.
