Chris Foy is the chairman of our trustees. He is Group Director of Lord Sainsbury of Turville's private office. Amongst his other responsibilities he is a trustee of the Sainsbury Institute for the Study of Japanese Arts and Culture, the Sainsbury Research Unit and the Sainsbury Centre Endowment Fund, at the University of East Anglia.
Previously he was Managing Director of the RSC and earlier the chief executive of a listed company and non-executive chairman of a consulting firm. Earlier he gained executive management experience with a major international company in the UK, other parts of Europe and overseas. He also serves as Treasurer of the University of Warwick.
Judith Portrait is a specialist charity and trust lawyer. She was a Partner of Oppenheimers (now Denton Wilde Sapte) from 1976 to 1995, where she was head of their Private Client Department. She is a consultant of Denton Wilde Sapte and heads her own private client practice. Until September 2002, she was also Treasurer of The Henry Smith Charity.
