Joanna Keil is the Research Assistant for the Continuity of mental health care for prisoners with severe mental health problems project.
She completed her psychology degree in 2000 and went onto work at a regional secure unit for 3 years, based on the nursing team. Her post as an associate mental health practitioner was a new job specific to Hampshire partnership NHS trust. This combined working on the ward, alongside completing a postgraduate diploma in mental health studies.
She then went onto complete an MSc in forensic psychology. Her research project involved interviewing staff in the dangerous and severe personality disorder unit about therapeutic relationships.
