Chiara is Head of Research at SCMH. She is a highly experienced researcher in mental health. She has a BSc in Social Sciences, a PhD in Social Policy and Administration and an MSc in Epidemiology.
She is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry. She has worked primarily as an academic researcher conducting projects on the impact and effectiveness of mental health services at institutions including the Royal College of Psychiatrists, St George's Hospital Medical School and the Institute of Psychiatry.
Her interests span a range of issues including the mental health and social needs of people with a history of offending; employment of offenders; alternatives to prison; forensic mental health services; families and friends of prisoners/ex-offenders; supported employment; service user and carer involvement in research and service development.
